Fiona Frank: international prizewinner in Bari, Italy

Fiona won First Prize at the "First Patricia Adkins Chiti International Composition Competition",
and her winning piece, "La Pizzica", was premiered at the Church of San Carlo Borromeo in Bari, Italy at 20.30 on 13th November 2022. Fiona attended the concert, which was part of "The Little Festival Barisien-Parisien-Napoltain" given by EurOrchestra da camera di Bari, conducted by Maestro Francesco Lentini. The prize was awarded for a new composition inspired by the traditional music of Puglia and other Mediterranean cultures.

She helped to create a wonderful community & platform for women composers throughout the world with her 'Fondazione Adkins Chiti'. I shall always be grateful for the opportunities she was able to create for us."
